We went back to Lucky Supermarket the other day to take advantage of an awesome deal going on right now! They have a Pick 5 and Save promo, where you pick five specially-marked meat items for just $5 each! It's hard to beat this deal, and I love me a good meat meal! I was so happy with the great selection of items to choose from for this promo, too. It was like a kid in a candy store for me, getting to pick my 5 meat items to take home with me. Yes, my wife rolled her eyes a few times at just how excited I was! She was happy to see that it's not only red meat on sale, but also includes lean options like chicken and salmon! Everybody wins!
Shopping for our fabulous dinner spread was a fun experience, and I was surprised that my wife and I actually agreed on exactly what we wanted to purchase! It was super easy to find the specially-marked items, as they all had big stickers on them with the Pick 5 and Save logo. Also, Lucky Supermarket does a great job at using signage in helping to make it really easy to find the sale items! It was fun going through the meat and picking which ones we wanted, too. We got some great meat to take home and were ready to make a delicious meal.
Once home, it was time to get to cooking. We threw the drumsticks in the oven with some chipotle barbeque sauce, which made them super delicious, with just a hint of spice! We also grilled a New York steak from Harris Ranch farm (which I love- it's great quality, and at this sale price, it's hard to beat!) and had some corn on the cob, potato salad and watermelon on the side! We opened a few bottles of red wine and enjoyed our perfect Summer meal. We will also be enjoying it in the days to come, as we have a lot of leftovers!
